United India Apts lists out residents' basic requirements

The newly formed managing committee of United India Apartments, in Mayur Vihar Phase I Extension, is in the process of identifying the basic problems of residents.

As part of the “First Five Needs of Residents” initiative, the committee will circulate a paper listing about 10 basic needs. Residents will have to tick five issues they think need to be addressed. This information will be taken as their basic requirement.

This list will include problems such as water, security, parking, theft, sanitation, gardening and maids. The initiative is the brainchild of Purusottam Das Bhatt, president of the committee.

“After I was elected as the president, I thought I should find a new way to serve residents," he says. "That is when I thought of the initiative and discussed the idea with the other members. This will help us identify the needs of our residents, and we will act accordingly.”
