Dwarka: Two trees fall due to concretisation in Sec 6

Dwarka: Modernisation and development are okay but is it okay to damage our nature? Knowingly or unknowingly, we are making mistakes that are hazardous for nature and which will affect us as well, eventually.

Padma Jamwal, 52, a resident of Shree Balaji Apartments, Sector 6, Dwarka reported an incident about two fallen trees in the vicinity.

She said, “I witnessed this on June 10 when I was walking to a nearby bank and then noticed two trees which were uprooted partially and had fallen due to concretisation.” She also added that the market is near DAV School of Sector 6, Dwarka.

Two trees have fallen right in front of PNB and HDFC banks due to concretisation around them. The trees are not dead and can be saved. Padma reported this incident to CitySpidey and requested to create awareness about the fallen trees so that they can be saved.

A few days ago on May 31, an evergreen Banyan tree also fell due to concretisation. It was transplanted with the help of residents, NGOs and a few authorities.

Many concerned residents of Dwarka said that there are many trees in Dwarka which can fall due concretisation and it should be addressed as soon as possible. Someone from the authorities has to take responsibility and need to step in to conserve these trees or they will die.
