World Music Day: Let's relive the glorious 90s Indipop

New Delhi: As we are celebrating the World Music Day, I decided to roll back time to the glorious 90s when Indian pop industry was at its peak. In my opinion, no other times have been as endearing as it was in the 90s. During that era, we had seen the most amazing songs which would swipe you out of your feet and were just out of this world.

The songs used to be very upbeat and always gave you ecstasy. It was so wonderful that I always wonder what kind of environs would have been in Bombay at that point of time. You had a range of artists who were engrossed in making good music of pure gold class.

The vibes that these songs give is just amazing. It can lift your mood automatically. It was not one, two or three artists, but there was a series of artists who were doing good works as if everyone had a competition to enchant the people in best way possible.

The era offered fresh pop music as well as remixes of old songs done in extraordinary ways. Those who had seen that era can reminisce the glorious past in best way possible. It was a wonderful ride all through the 90s. MTV India was also probably at their best during those times.

The popular artists who rocked the entire nation were - Alisha Chinai, Bombay Vikings, Shaan, Sagarika, Stereo Nation, Aryans, Euphoria, Pankaj Udhas, Falguni Pathak, Shankar Mahadevan, Kamaal Khan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abhijeet, Apache Indian, Baba Sehgal, Sunita Rao, Ali Haider, Suchitra, Shibani Kashyap, Raageshwari, Ila Arun, Bally Sagoo, Sonu Nigam, Daler Mehndi, Colonial Cousins, Lucky Ali, Rajeshwari, Shweta Shetty, Jagjit Singh, Adnan Sami, Bali Brahmbhatt, Anamika, Shaimak Davar etc.

You can see the list and be enchanted by these names all over again. They were doing some great works and imagine the time when all of them were on song. We had certainly witnessed a miracle. I really hope that someday we would get back to the kind of times that we witnessed during 90s.

Today, I am trying to share few of the pop songs which were not most popular but I found them too good. As the list of names of artists suggested, it is not possible to share each and every famous songs. Enjoy the ride!
