NOFAA raises issue of unauthorised garbage dumping spot in Noida

Noida: It is our duty as residents to keep our surroundings clean but it is painful when garbage are littered at unauthorised spots. On Thursday, Secretary of NOFAA, (Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations), Nisha Rai, shared a tweet on an unauthorised garbage dumping spot at Sector 78, Noida.

The dumping spot is opposite Sector 101 metro station. Rai shared the information to the authorities. She shared a tweet of the same place where cows can be seen eating plastic waste. There is no sign that the place is not a dumping area.

In a tweet, Rai said, “Again today morning the same scenario.. Kachra ghar has got new location — sec -78 opposite 101 metro Station garbage is daily .. painful is when cow starts eating the plastics as it’s mixed waste without  segregation. (sic)”

CitySpidey talked to Nisha Rai, she said, “I am visiting the same place from June 3 and every alternate day, residents of the local area throw away the garbage which contains plastic waste and it is very painful to see when a cow starts eating the plastic waste and the waste is mixed without segregation. Local food sellers drop their waste there.”

She added, “Authorities segregate this but if this is an unauthorised place, why do they not fix a board of no garbage dumping area. Few kilometers away, there was a garbage dumping area which is now converted into a park by the Noida Authority. If they do not want to make a new garbage dumping area, please take strict action and fix a notice board.”
