Noida: The Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA) has written to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Noida Authority Ritu Maheshwari emphasising the importance of digitalisation of resident welfare associations and apartment owners associations in the city.

The NOFAA stated that the technology can be used for better coordination between administration,  welfare associations and the residents. It said that the move will create a better governing model for  all the stakeholders responsible for the ease of living of residents.

Rajiva Singh, President of NOFAA said, "This would also help in regular audits and streamlining of election processes of the association in the adherence to governing laws of the state."

It was stated in the letter that communications between administration, federations, associations and residents would become streamlined once the digitalisation takes place. "Getting them all on a single digital platform and integrating various services would be an excellent initiative. It would also help in accountability and curbing irregularities," said Singh.

According to Singh, the digitalisation will make it easier for booking community centres, club houses and other amenities.

"Sanitisation of societies and sectors, planting of trees around sectors, waste management, water management, cleaning of drains, maintenance of roads and speed breakers and pruning of trees etc can all come under the same digital umbrella with the complete digitalisation," added Singh.

Professor Rajesh Sahay, Secretary General, NOFAA, said, "Digitalisation will also bolster safety and security of societies. CCTV cameras will be monitored in better way. There can be better traffic management on arterial roads. It will streamline all the processes and improve the quality of life."
