Mahagun Mansion I: Residents want Deputy Registrar's intervention to form AOA

Residents of Mahagun Mansion Phase I, a residential society on Kala Patthar road in Indirapuram, are all set to approach the office of the Deputy Registrar, Meerut, to intervene in the society's election process for forming an AOA (Apartments Owners' Association).

Residents said that the elections should have been conducted in April or in the first quarter of 2016 as per the UP Apartment Act, 2010. They also alleged that the current board members were illegally holding their positions, as the body was way past its term period.

Speaking to City Spidey, Milind Manasvi, a resident of the society, said that despite several discussions, the board members had failed to finalise a date for the election. "We are going to write a letter to the deputy registrar and request him to initiate the election process," added Manasvi.

However, Sekhar Shrivastava, a board member of the allegedly defunct AOA, told City Spidey that the board had not completed its term of one year, as it was only elected in September last year. "Elections will be conducted in due time," he added.
