Lips are a very sensitive part of our face and require special care to stay healthy. Lip Balms have now flooded the skincare market and are in huge demand. However, they might not always work as different people have different requirements.

Here is the list of some easy and homemade remedies which are very easy to make, natural and will take good care of your lips-

Coconut and honey

The combination of coconut and honey works for lips just like it works for the face. Take one tablespoon of organic honey, coconut oil, brown sugar, and lukewarm water each to make a scrub. Mix all these four elements properly. Rub this scrub on the lips and massage it for at least 2-3 minutes. Then wash it with water and wipe your lips gently with a soft towel. This scrub works as an exfoliator that removes the dry-dead cells of the lips.

Coffee and honey

Another great exfoliator is coffee. Make a paste of a tablespoon of ground coffee and honey. Keep this paste for two minutes on the lips and your lips will be hydrated. This paste removes the cracks present on the lips.

Rose petals and milk

Rosewater is generally recommended for the lip but with milk, it even works better. Mix them well together and apply on the lips for one minute. If you have chapped lips and this mixture is the one for you.

Mint scrub

Take two tablespoons of olive/coconut oil and sugar, 8-10 drops of peppermint and half a teaspoon of grapeseed and mix them well. Sugar is a natural exfoliant and peppermint oil stimulates circulation in the lips. Grapeseed has antioxidant properties and helps in moisturizing lips.

Chocolate mask

Cocoa moisturizes lips and does the removal of tanning. Vanilla extract prevents skin damage by removing free radicals of the lip skin. Prepare a mixture of one tablespoon cocoa powder and vanilla extract each, two tablespoons of brown sugar and olive oil, and ¾ teaspoon of honey, and apply it for a few minutes on the lips.

Kiwi and strawberry

Fruits are inexpensive and help to moisturize lips better than cosmetic products. Kiwi helps in smoothing sore and dry lips and gives softer lips. Strawberries help in treating the chapped lips and make the lips look glossy naturally. Create a mixture of one pureed strawberry, 6 tablespoons of sugar, ½ pureed kiwi, and two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it on your face for 30-50 seconds.
