Devika Gold Homz: Residents dump garbage at maintenance office

Greater Noida: Residents of Devika Gold Homz, a residential society in Sector 1, Greater Noida West, on Thursday dumped garbage at the maintenance office to protest against no garbage collection from flats in the last few days.

The residents alleged that the housekeepers did not collect garbage for the last four days because the maintenance team has discontinued the salary of housekeeping staff in the last two months.

Anurag Khare, President of Devika Social Welfare Society said, “We all are paying maintenance charges but the maintenance team is not able to provide the basic facilities in the society. Housekeepers are protesting for their needs. After their protests, the maintenance team hired a private housekeeping company but there is still no solution to the issue.”

Navneet Parashar, a resident of flat number DG5, 704 said, “The maintenance team has three or four staff members for the entire society. They did not pay staff salaries. It forced them to protest and discontinue their services. We need a solution to the problem.”

Annu Khan, President of NEFOMA said, “This is a common problem across societies. I request the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) to take action and solve this issue as soon as possible.”
