Greater Noida: Residents of Supertech Eco Village 1, 2, and 3, Greater Noida West, on Sunday protested against delay in registry of their flats. Homebuyers protested at their respective societies' premises. They had placards in their hands while they moved inside the societies. They protested with proper adherence to Covid norms.

As per the residents, despite regular assurances from the builder, the registry of flats are still pending. They said that more than 3,000 homebuyers are forced to live without registry of the flats. Besides, the residents also complained about other issues like deduction of maintenance charges from prepaid meters. They said that protest against builder will continue until the registry of the flats is done.

Many of them alleged that the builder was indifferent to their problems and hence they were forced to carry out protest. The residents said they are also planning to move Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) soon.

Anupam Mishra, a resident of Ecovillage 2 said, “It’s been more than four years since I took possession of the flat. The registry is still pending. The bank is threatening to charge double interest rate on home loan because of pending registry. We are living like a tenant in our own flat. We will continue to protest until the registry is done.”

A resident from Ecovillage 1, Vijay Singh said, “My family moved to the society four years back. Registry is yet to be done. The residents are suffering due to tussle between the authority and the builder. We all are paying maintenance charges but are not getting basic facilities. We will continue the protest peacefully every Sunday.”
