Horror comedies you can watch on OTT platforms

Horror is one of the most loved movie genres and has a cult following of its own. Switching off the lights and watching a horror movie alone is something you need courage to do. The jumpscares and extreme visuals can play really scary games with you. Getting out of your bed to pee or to get water after watching a horror movie just doesn’t happen and if you’re someone who can do that, kudos!

However, one more genre which is widely loved is comedy. Who doesn’t want to have a good dose of laughter? A horror comedy is a perfect blend and is always a good idea. Next time you want to treat yourself with something scary, funny and entertaining, go for a horror comedy without a thought. Here are some horror comedies you can watch on OTT platforms of your choice:

Stree

On the off chance that you watch Rajkummar Rao in the scene where he is being told to look at stree with all the love he can marshal up, you will be frightened to death, yet it's basically impossible that you would have the option to control your laughter.

The film features young actors like Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee who keep you engaged and terrified in equal measure. Pankaj Tripathi is a cherry on top in this movie. It is streaming on Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar.

Zombieland

There's a ton of butchery and a ton of mischievous fun in this zom-com. A college kid meets three strangers in a post-apocalyptic world and they must survive. The movie is a laugh riot with good action sequences and scary zombies. Bill Murray's appearance — initially composed for Patrick Swayze — was singled out for consideration by various numbers for being original and funny. It is streaming on Netflix.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa

A massive palace, a crazy family, a sealed floor in the house and a ghost who
sings in Bengali and dances and to top this madness, a funky and an eccentric psychiatrist who is called in to solve the mystery. It is one of the best horror comedies ever produced in India and casts the likes of Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Rajpal Yadav.

Chhota Pandit from this movie has become an evergreen meme. If you haven’t
watched this movie, go and do it now and even if you have, this is definitely a rewatch. It streams on Netflix.

The Cabin In The Woods

It is a 2011 American horror comedy film, directed by Drew Goddard and featuring Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth and Anna Hutchison among others. The plot follows a group of college students who head to a far off timberland lodge and begin succumbing to zombies. It's ensured to leave you terrified and laugh at the adroitly composed lines. You can watch it on Netflix.

Go, Goa, Gone

It was India's first zom-com and revolves around three buddies vacationing in Goa just to wind up in the midst of zombies. Saif Ali Khan playing the Russian mafia with blonde hair is simply hilarious. While the subsequent half goes into a winding direction towards the end, some touchy jokes and sharp altering make this movie a must watch. The movie features Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Puja Gupta, and Anand Tiwari. It is streaming on Voot.

Roohi

'Roohi' was directed by Hardik Mehta and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Following the success of 'Stree', Dinesh Vijan decided to make one more horror comedy. The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma. It might not be as good as 'Stree' but is surely equally hilarious, the talented cast makes sure of that. It is streaming on Netflix.
