Dwarka: The residents of Sector 8 in Dwarka are facing a lot of problems due to rains these days. The photographs shared by residents showed inundation all across the sector. Since the first rain this monsoon, the residents are struggling with water logging.

The internal roads are full of water. Some blocks like B and D are in the worst shape. Most of the areas are clogged. Residents said that the drainage system has been in poor condition.

General Secretary of Dwarka Forum and a resident of the sector, AS Chatwal said, “The water logging was so bad after today's rain that it was very difficult to commute. The outlets of storm water drains are either defective or closed.”

“The water accumulates on the road after every rain. It takes many days for the water to subside. The authorities must look into it,” he added.

The residents said that water logging has become a perennial problem in the area. They said that the situation was the same during last monsoon.

Residents of Sector 8, Siddharth Jain and Amit Kumar shared some photographs of the area which showed the roads full of water.

Jain said, “A havoc was created this morning after rain. All of a sudden, the entire sector was full of water. Condition of the C and D block was the worst. This is sheer negligence on the part of civic bodies as we face this issue every year. This needs to be addressed soon.”
