NEFOWA says multi-speciality hospital is urgently needed in GreNo West

Greater Noida: The Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) has been demanding a multi-speciality hospital for the residents of Greater Noida West for a long time. The area has seen a lot of influx of people and the population is growing day-by-day.

On June 21, the NEFOWA had written a letter to the District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar with a request to set up a government multi-speciality hospital in the area. They had also filed a complaint at Jan Sunwai Kendra.

The NEFOWA got a response from the medical officer on June 31. The letter read, “There is a health centre in Bisrakh, Greater Noida West with a capacity of 30 beds which is available for 24 hours. For a multi-speciality hospital, you can approach the government.”

Abhishek Kumar, President of NEFOWA said, “We will write a letter again to the Uttar Pradesh government for a multi-speciality hospital which is very important for the residents of Greater Noida West.”

On the matter, Senior Vice President of NEFOWA Manish Kumar said, “In the past few years, the population of Greater Noida West has increased from thousands to lakhs. In future, many societies are expected to come up. The population of Greater Noida is in between 3.5 lakh and 4 lakh.”

“The population will double in 3-4 years. There is only Bisrakh health centre in the name of government health services. We need the multi-speciality hospital urgently,” he added.
