NEFOWA reaches out to GreNo Authority for follow-up of raised issues

Greater Noida: On Wednesday, the members of Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) reached Balak Inter College, Greater Noida West, camp office of Greater Noida Authority to follow-up on the issues of the area.

Many letters were written by Manish Kumar, Senior Vice President, NEFOWA to raise the issues in the past. Deepchand, Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) of Greater Noida Authority was present for the public hearing on behalf of the authority.

Kumar raised the issue of the underpass at Char Murti roundabout in Greater Noida West, on which the Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) is being prepared by RITES Ltd. The officials informed that the presentation for the underpass has been done. Soon the tender will be passed after ensuring all the paperwork for the underpass.

The issue of cremation ground was also raised, on which Deepchand said that construction of the cremation ground in Greater Noida West is underway. The work will start as soon as necessary approval is received from the planning department.

The issue of visitor parking is very common these days and Manish Kumar said, “There is no mention of visitors parking in the building by-laws adopted by the Greater Noida Authority. According to DGM planning, this is mentioned in the OC/CC issued to all the developers. However, when it was reported that no one followed it, DGM Planning said that a separate notice will be issued to all the developers to reserve 10 per cent visitors parking in their respective societies.”

NEFOWA also raised the residents' demand for an Aadhar Facilitation Center in Greater Noida West. To this, Deepchand said that he would talk to the concerned authorities and ensure that the Aadhar Facilitation Center would be set up in the area.

NEFOWA also demanded a Ramlila Maidan and a sports stadium. Kumar said, “Only assurance is given for Ramlila Maidan. Deputy General Manager Planning was again apprised of the location suggested by NEFOWA and they have assured to consider the same.”

The same went for the concern of a sports stadium as there is none in the area and only assurance was given again for the construction of the same. DGM Planning was again apprised of the location suggested by NEFOWA. Initially, DGM Planning said that it is a green belt, but when told that nothing was shown in the master plan then he assured me to look into it.
