Greater Noida: After heavy rain, an incident of falling of a false ceiling happened due to seepage in the reception of Panchsheel Hynish, a residential highrise society in Sector 1, Greater Noida West.
The residents shared a tweet from their Twitter handle with a caption, “हाइनिष के टावर-1 में फाल्स सीलिंग गिरी। छोटे बच्चे बाल बाल बचे। निवासी 1 साल से कंप्लेन कर रहे हैं पर घमंडी और लालची बिल्डर कान बंद कर सिर्फ पैसे की वसूली में मग्न। कहता है कि पुलिस कंप्लेन कर लो, फिर देखते हैं क्या कर सकते हैं।”

The residents shared that since last year, there was seepage from the ceiling and they were complaining regularly about the same to the maintenance team.
However, no one listened to them and due to heavy rain on Saturday, the false ceiling fell. Two children were there when the incident happened. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
A resident said, “The incident happened in the reception of Tower 1. Due to heavy rain, the rainwater leaked from that area. Residents have complained about this many times but no one did anything about it. What if a big incident happens or any resident gets injured? We did complain many times but the maintenance team did not repair it.”
CitySpidey also talked to the Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Panchsheel Buildtech Pvt Ltd to know about their stand after the incident. He said, “We are aware of the incident and the ceiling of Gypsum POP. We will repair it after the rain stops because it will take time to fix and rain will damage it again.”
