Acting on complaints of water running down the outer walls of many of the society buildings, the managing committee of East End Apartments, in Mayur Vihar Phase I Extension, has begun repair work.
This has especially become a cause for concern in blocks 10 and 23, as the water is seeping into the basement. This could weaken the building's structural pillars, some of which are in bad shape.
JP Verma, secretary of the society, said, “A team has been formed to identify the spots where repair work is needed. It has found five to six such spots.”
