GreNo: Aishwaryam Society residents troubled by unmanaged garbage dumping

Greater Noida: Residents of Aishwaryam Society, Gaur City 2, Greater Noida, raised the issue of garbage dumping in their society. On August 27, residents raised their issue on Twitter. They posted a tweet with caption, “निवासियों के सेहत से खिलवाड़ l बिल्डर के  लापरवाही से कई बच्चे और बुजुर्ग बीमारी से ग्रस्त l कूड़ा घर में गाय और  सुअर की कमी रह गई है l मेंटनेंस चार्ज पूरे चाहिए,STP- NIL.”

Residents alleged that the filth is affecting the health of children and elderly. Stray cattle also eat this garbage. Residents shared that the maintenance team is taking full maintenance charge but that doesn't show in the maintenance work being done. There are only two workers for segregation.

Arnimesh Kumar, President, AOA shared that, “Compost machines are not available in society. Builders have hired a third party to carry the garbage from here. Holding time is quite long.
Garbage is disposed of in the parking area due to which residents have to suffice with bad smell and hygiene. Staff working there don't follow safety norms, especially at the time of Covid-19. Sorting at source is a much-needed thing. It's a resident's responsibility.

The main thing is the maintenance  team is not aware of government rules and regulations.”

He further added, “All the residents are paying full maintenance charge but there is no work done by the helpers and the maintenance manager said that the helpers are from a third party. They collect garbage and  segregate it in the dumping area.”

Deepak Prasad Gupta, Secretary of AOA said, “Garbage dumping area is in the parking lot and it is difficult to park any vehicle there because of the smell. There are only two workers for garbage collection which is not enough. The parking is becoming more unhygienic day by day. It should be cleaned on a daily basis.”

SK Gupta, builder of the society said, “We have a proper machine to do the required work and there is not much lagging in the matter.”
