Tree branches touching electricity wires

Pushkar Chandna, a resident of Lotus Panache, Sector 62, Noida, has been requesting the Noida Authority for pruning of tree branches since July 9.

On August 8, the Noida Authority took the concern and tweeted, “The concern has been addressed,” with a picture. But according to Pushkar, it was not done at the spot for which the complaint was given and it is still not done to date.

“I have been asking the authorities for months to prune the trees as it is very dangerous and may lead to fatal accidents during monsoons. Trees that grow too close to electric lines are a threat. They can cause power outages or momentary power interludes,” said Pushkar.
