Greater Noida: Towering buildings fascinate lakhs of people who aspire to have a house up in the sky and to live peacefully after investing their hardship money. However, societies that have come up in the last seven to eight years, many as new as just one year, are beset with a consistent problem – malfunctioning lifts.
This is what residents of Gaur City 1, a residential township of Greater Noida West feel like. Anita Prajapati, a resident of Gaur City 1, said, “I live in the sixth avenue of Gaur City 1 Apartments and we are frustrated with the bad services despite giving prepaid maintenance charges.”
“There are cracks, leakage issues, and then broken buttons of lift replaced with stickers. We have complained so many times about the broken buttons but instead of repairing them, they paste these stickers on them,” she complained.

Another resident of Gaur City 1, Saroj Sharma, said, “It's just not done, this is carelessness, we are paying the advance payment for maintenance and not getting good services. Instead, we are being fooled by these fake stickers on broken buttons of the lifts.”
“Residents keep complaining to the builder, but there has been no solution. We are paying accurate amount but nothing is ensured when it's about the safety of residents,” said Ranjit, a resident of Gaur City 1.
