New Delhi: In a short span, Sidharth Shukla won hearts in the TV and Film industry alike with his charming smile.

He started his career in the modelling industry, and then established himself as a successful TV actor and even found acceptance in Bollywood. His acting debut was with 2008 serial Babul Ka Angna Chootey Na’ on Sony television. He played the role of Shubh Ranawat as the protagonist.

He also played a character of ‘Veer Vardhan Singh’ telecasted on Zee TV in the serial “Jaane pehchane se yeh ajnabi” in 2009. Later in 2011, he also appeared in the show “Love you Zindagi”. Shukla received much love from the television show ‘Balika Vadhu’ on Colors TV, where he played the character of Shivraj Shekhar. This show also made him win the Best Male Actor Award at the Indian Television Academy Award.

In 2014, Shukla made his way to the Bollywood world with the romantic comedy film, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. He played the role of Angad  Bedi who was an NRI doctor and fiance of protagonist Alia Bhatt.

From 2014-2015, Sidharth hosted shows like Savdhan India and India's Got Talent season 6. Shukla also won the show: Fear Factor, Khatron Ke Khiladi season 7 in the year 2016. He also did a show ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ with big boss fame Jasmine Bhasin and Rashmi Desai on Colors TV.

Physical fitness was Shukla's passion and he also won the Gold Award for the Most Fit Actor category. He won the most famous show Bigg Boss season 13 where he was on top rank throughout the 20 weeks. Bigg Boss was the show where he met his closest friend Shenaaz Gill and their chemistry was loved by the audience a lot which resulted in the trending hashtag 'Sidnaaz'.

After gaining popularity from Bigg Boss, Siddharth was also seen in the music video, ‘Dil Ko Karar Aya’, ‘Bhula Dunga’ and ‘Shona Shona’, and his latest work can be seen in his OTT debut as Agastya Rao in the web series 'Broken But Beautiful' opposite Sonia Rathee, streaming on  ALTBalaji and MX Player.1

Sidharth Shukla died on Thursday, September 2, 2021 due to cardiac arrest. An official statement was given by Cooper Hospital. The actor lived with his mother and two sisters in Mumbai. The shocking news of the actor's death left his fans in the void. He was recently seen on reality shows like  Dance Dewane 3 and Bigg boss with his friend Shenaaz Gill.
