Noida: Damaged manhole is posing a threat to commuters in Noida. On the sector road from Sector 79 to 81, a sewer manhole is left open. Passersby are at higher risk of facing misfortune by falling into manhole which is either damaged or kept opened by the sanitation worker.
According to Sanwarjeet Singh, a resident of Gaur Sportswood in Sector 79, last year on May 25, a small girl fell inside this manhole. Later, some commuters rescued her with the help of the police.

“This manhole should be covered properly to avoid any accidents which could save precious lives. There have been several incidents in the past where people fell into manhole. These dangerous death traps are lying open. Authorities should take necessary action on it,” Singh said.
