The level of the open drain and the footpath is not the same. After dark, it becomes a more serious issue for senior citizens. Senior citizens shared that due to the bad shape of the footpath with an open storm drain, they avoid going out for a walk on the footpath after dark.
Residents of the societies along this footpath like Sargodha Apartment and plot number 14, Krishna Kunj Apartment in Sector 7 expressed their concern for a safe footpath and they appealed to the civic bodies to cover the storm drain.
The concerned DDA authority must pay heed to this issue and fix the covers immediately.
