Ghaziabad: A huge sinkhole was spotted around the cycle track outside Shipra Srishti in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad on Friday morning. The residents informed the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and asked them to take action on priority.
This happened on Friday morning. The pipe burst from below, because of which it started to sink a little. On Friday morning, the residents had informed the GDA about a small hole of around 5 feet. After Saturday's rain, the size of the hole was increased to about 20-25 feet.
“The water corporation came on Saturday morning and said that they will work on it after the rain stops, they will put soil in it. They have blocked the road from both sides to avoid mishappenings,” said Vivek Panwar, AOA President of Shipra Srishti.
