Greater Noida: Miffed with the lack of basic amenities, the residents of Mayfair Residency, a highrise society in Techzone 4, Greater Noida West, protested against the builder on Sunday.
They shared a tweet, "दिनांक 12.09.2021 लगातार 12वे हफ़्ते मेफ़ेयर निवासियों द्वारा बिल्डर द्वारा की जा रही बर्बरता उत्पीड़न के ख़िलाफ़ धरना प्रदर्शन व मोर्चा निकाला गया agreement to Sublease कराने के बाद भी बिल्डर निवासियों से सुरक्षा नहीं देना चाहता और पल्ला झाड़ रहा है."(sic)

The residents shared that around 70 families are presently living in towers A, B, C and D of the society. The other eight towers are under construction. Society doesn’t have internal roads and there is no electricity grid.

Residents alleged that the builder gave the possession without Occupancy Certificate and Completion Certificate (OC/CC). The towers have only one lift which does not work properly. Moreover, the entrance of the parking area is sealed. They said that society has been under construction for the last 12 years.
Apart from that, the society deploys only two security guards during morning hours and one during the night. As per the residents, the society doesn’t have any support staff to maintain the society.

They shared, “बिल्डर द्वारा पार्किंग की entrance पर किया जा रहा है अवैध निर्माण. कृपया संज्ञान लें। मेफ़ेयर रैसिडैंसी GH07B Techzone 4 greater Noida .”

Prateek Baijal, a resident of the society said, “Seventy families are living in this under-construction society. Builder illegally allowed residents possession on an agreement of sublease and is now depriving them of services. There is no OC/CC of the towers, No Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is in the society. Water is not drinkable. It may affect our health.”
Another resident, Pawan Pandey said, “We are demanding only basic amenities in the society. Still, there are temporary connections in society. In the market area, the electricity is supplied through the diesel generator. Builder is supplying groundwater, which is unhealthy. The condition of the tanks is not good. The condition of internal roads in society is very pathetic. During the rainy day, rainwater was logged in the society which can cause diseases like dengue and malaria.”
CitySpidey also tried to contact the builder’s team but there was no response from their side.
