The Met Gala is back. Like every year, you got to see celebrities wearing designer costumes by the top-notch fashion designers of the world. The red carpet has returned after a year of delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. Initially scheduled for the first Monday that is May 4, 2020, the event finally took place on September 13. Due to the ongoing pandemic, it was smaller and intimate this year.
The theme for the Met Gala 2021 was “American Independence,” which saw many head-turning costumes. But we also saw some costumes that became meme materials. Here, sharing the worst dressed celebrities in the Met Gala 2021.
The YouTube personality got dressed up with a personalised Louis Vuitton dress that included 21,000 microbeads, 9,000 rhinestones, 2,300 rococo style beads, and 2,000 Swarovski crystals. The bottom looks more like a side part of the skirt or the incomplete part of the full skirt.
Kim Kardardashian West
I am hundred per cent sure that you won't be able to recognise this star. She is Kim Kardashian West from head to toe, literally, covered in a black outfit designed by her ex-husband Kanye West. He collaborated with Balenciaga's Demna Gvasalia on this custom-made look.
The star walked down the Met Gala red carpet in a custom-made outfit by Givenchy. The diamond-embedded scarf and other jewels felt heavy, and the ill-fitted coat simply looked like bad tailoring.
The well-known tennis player Naomi Osaka wore the designer costume designed by Louis Vuitton. Her hair game was obviously one of the worst attractions of her looks. The entire outfit was not at all coordinated; it had too many parts moving, making it weirder.
What's with this entire look. The dress by Bode looked messy and gave a significant pyjama vibe, while the headpiece is out of place, making the whole outfit inappropriate.
Pete Davidson is wearing Thom Browne to the Met Gala. However, lamentably Pete's mysteriously three-quarter coat and tacky skirt look more like a substitute instructor starting from the neck.
One of the weirdest looks from the Met Gala 2021. The 3-D horse on the front had the wackiest vibe. Designed by Collina Strada and with floral bottoms, the part is obviously making our turns away!
