By the time the police arrived, they had managed to douse the fire themselves and nobody was injured.

How Pan Oasis residents turned firefighters

A fire broke out in Tower R of Pan Oasis, a society in Noida Sector 70, on the night of September 8.

Residents called the Police Control Room (PCR) on finding out about the fire. They thankfully managed to douse the fire themselves.

"The situation could easily have got out of control, but luckily, that didn't happen," said Kapil Kumar, a resident.

When City Spidey discussed the incident with Rajeev Gupta, general manager of Pan Oasis, he said none of the residents were injured and nothing major had happened. "There's construction going on in the society and I am guessing the fire was started by a worker who must have thrown his cigarette on a pile of dry grass left on the ground. The residential towers were at a distance from the spot, so thankfully it wasn't a threat to residents."
