Dwarka Forum held a meeting with Shri F. S. Chahar, Deputy Director of Horticulture, Delhi Development Authority on 25th September 2021.

Dwarka Forum (DF) handed over a letter to Deputy Director (Horticulture) on various issues of the Dwarka Sub-City pertaining to the Horticulture Department of Delhi Development Authority. 

Dwarka Forum discussed several issues ranging from development and maintenance of parks and water bodies under the Delhi Development Authority. Forum requested for installation of Boards inside the parks with details like name, designation, and contact numbers of concerned officials.

The governing body also shared the feedback received from various residents particularly on maintenance of parks and the central verge of Master plan roads etc.

Dwarka Forum emphasised the need for a time-bound program for regular pruning of trees, with priority on those covering the traffic signals and street light poles and also timely removal of horticulture waste after pruning. They also discussed issues related to the proper numbering of all roadside trees and also early action on dried trees,  particularly those that obstruct smooth traffic.

The forum brought to their notice regarding cables/ wires of various private cable operators/ internet companies tied on roadside trees.

The Governing Body members requested for maintenance of Central verge of Master Plan Roads with regular watering and proper plantation etc.

They also requested DDA to provide the latest sector-wise list of all parks and water bodies under DDA with the contact numbers of officials concerned.

It was also decided that Dwarka Forum with Horticulture Department of DDA, Traffic Police, and BSES will conduct a joint survey of Dwarka  Sub-City on traffic signals and street lights poles, covered with branches of trees, etc.
