The residents of Mayfair Residency, a highrise society in Techzone 4, Greater Noida West, on Sunday protested against the builder for the prevalent issues of the society. Residents shared that if they get permission, they will protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10.

Residents shared that they are protesting against the builder for the 14th consecutive time but there is no work done by the builder. Last week, the builder forced the residents to sign undertaking forms so that they cannot complain against the builder anywhere.

According to the residents, this highrise society has eight towers in which 70 families live in four towers, A, B, C, D. The rest of the towers are under construction. Towers don't have OC/CC certificates and there is lack basic amenities. Residents shared that due to late possession, families were struggling to pay the rent and EMI of their flat at the same time, from the help of an authority, builder did sublease for those residents who wanted possession. Residents requested construction of good roads in society and fix the electricity grid of the society.
Ravi Choudhary, a resident of the society said, “The society is under construction and there has a lack of basic amenities. We understand that due to the construction, we are not able to get the facilities and we do not have problem with that but the society lacks from basic amenities. We did a meeting with the builder's team but they only manipulate us and do nothing. Society doesn't have Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The condition of the roads is pathetic day by day. There is no electricity grid in the society. Please do work on it. These are basic things."
Another resident, on the condition of anonymity said, "Society does not have OC/CC certificates. We have to live here on the agreement of sublease. Builder supplied ground water in flats, which is illegal. The cap water tanks is open. There is no good electricity in the society, no electricity grid. The condition of the road is also not good. We are not asking for the gym or swimming pool or club house, we just need some basic day to day facilities."
