Logix Zest: Delay in flat possession shatters dreams of a father

Noida: Buying a home is a dream that people often fulfill by investing their life savings. All they want in return is a peaceful life in a home they can call their own. However, the story is a little different for Rakesh Jain, 62, who currently resides in Faridabad and bought a studio apartment in 2010 in Logix Blossom Zest in Noida.

He purchased this flat as an investment for his daughter's marriage. Now for almost 11 years, he is still waiting to get that flat while his daughter got married in 2013. Surprisingly, this is not only Rakesh who is waiting for his flat but with him, around 2,500 other buyers are going through the situation.

“I was promised the possession in 2013. First, I was allotted SAT 1 - 1514, then it was shifted to SAT 3 - 1008 on the pretext of a management decision. Now I understand they sold the SAT 1 to some other buyers and shifted me to SAT 3 which they never completed. I also gave legal notice in 2016 but no relief,” said Rakesh Jain.

Almost every homebuyer in Noida who dreamed of living his retired life peacefully in his purchased home has just shattered. The issue has become common to the voices of homebuyers in Noida. The only option that has left for the buyers is to tweet about their problems.

This is what Jain also started doing. “Nowadays builders use muscle power, force and even police support them when a buyer protests. So we tweeted to raise our voice through social media. I purchased this flat to save money for my daughter's marriage which was solemnised in 2013 but still waiting for possession. So the basic purpose to invest the money is forfeited,” said Rakesh Jain.

Jain's first plan of saving money for his daughter’s wedding failed due to a delay in possession. Now his last hopes are only to get possession so that he can live and spend his retired life with peace, for which he is still fighting.

Jain said that he also knows legality and understands the legal position, so what Logix builder is doing is completely cheating innocent homebuyers.

“We want project completion for all 2,500 plus innocent buyers. I am a pensioner so I have no financial problems, but there are young people who took loans from banks and are still paying EMI and rent. So I am with them. For them, this is a question of doing and die. My motto is that our society doesn't need to cheat builders, corrupt administration, etc. So I will fight for project completion till the end,” concluded Rakesh Jain.
