Noida: Residents of Futec Gateway, Sector 75, Noida, have been struggling to get the basic amenities for long now. They had raised the issue many times and also protested earlier. After their June 28 protest this year, the builder had promised a resolution to the issue and also shared deadlines in a mail for completing various incomplete work inside the premises.

Three months down the line, the residents are dismayed that the builder has not even started many works that were promised by him. It has pained the residents as their hope to get basic amenities seems to be fading.

As per the residents, only electric connection work was in progress but it has also not been completed yet. In the email, the builder had mentioned that work on the second lift, fire safety, water tank, permanent electricity connection, and increasing parking space will be completed by October 10, August 31, July 25, September 25 and July 30 respectively.

Also, the work on the sewage treatment plant, pump house, swimming pool and club, common area, and water connection was said to be completed by October 15, August 31, August 25, September 30 and October 25 respectively.

Apparently, most of the deadlines have passed. There are approximately 250 residents living in the society. Residents said that they were hopeful of completion of work by October after written assurance from the builder but they are now anguished to see that most of the work has not even started.

Sunil Gupta, a resident of the society said, “We request the builder to keep the promises. He sent an email and assured us that work will start on June 30. But, it is the end of September and no single work has been done in society.”

Rajeev Malkani, a resident of flat number A2-604, said, “In the society, there are no basic facilities for the residents. We have got trapped in the lift many times. There is only one lift in society which is not working properly. The builder shared the completion schedule but it hasn’t been adhered to.”

He added, “Builder charges the maintenance charges from the electricity meter, which is illegal. We are not supposed to pay the maintenance charges, there is no infrastructure, no parking for the residents, society is lacking in basic amenities.”
