Dwarka: Over the years, the Federation of Cooperative Group Housing Societies has been instrumental in bringing to the fore several pressing demands of the residents. The Federation of CGHS celebrated Foundation Day on 2nd October, Saturday at Welcome Hotel, Sector-10. This was the 21st Foundation Day celebrations and the event started at 4.30 pm.
Like every year, the foundation day was a grand event and saw great preparations. There was a cultural programme including entertaining performances by dancer Vinod Thakur and his team, Tanoura dances by Dubai based artists, a skit by the members of Shrestha Bharat Foundation and solo music session by renowned singer Ms Archana Singh. The guests SK Meena, DCP, Dwarka, SK Dagar, DGM, BSES, A K Agarwal, Chief Engineer, DDA, Vinay Mishra, MLA, Dwarka and Mukesh Suryan, Mayor SDMC was part of the Foundation Day celebration and will share their experiences and contributions in making Dwarka one of the best sub City in Asia.
Sudha Sinha, President of Federation of CCHS Dwarka said "The Federation of CGHS Dwarka Ltd. is striving to provide better civic facilities to Dwarkaites for 2 decades. The journey has been tough but very satisfying as the federation has been able to manage multiple facilities like adequate water supply, self allotment of CGHS flats, regularisation of self allotted flats, waiver of RWH penalties etc.
She further added. “Foundation Day Celebration was an opportunity to interact with the heads of civic agencies, who are responsible for the betterment of the sub-city. The last one and half years have been difficult but I am sure today we will begin a new journey for the future of Dwarka. It was fun and frolic as well as a future driven programme."
