Mayfair Residency: Snake spotted in society park

Greater Noida: Residents of Mayfair Residency, a highrise society in Techzone 4, Greater Noida West, are in fear after they spotted a snake entering the society’s park on Friday evening. Now the residents are reluctant to use the park.

Residents shared a tweet, “महज़ 2 महीने के भीतर मेफ़ेयर रैसिडैंसी के निर्माणाधीन पार्क में निकला साँप ज़बरदस्त गंदगी होने के कारण निकलते है  साँप बिल्डर @UppcbN को कई बार गंदगी देख कर गये है पर कोई कार्रवाई नहीं  हुई है लोगों की ज़िंदगी के साथ खिलवाड़ कर रहा है प्रशासन  @OfficialGNIDA @myogiadityanath.”

The Resident shared that the women of societies are doing an arrangement of Navratri festival in the society park. In between the arrangements, a snake came. Residents shared that another snake was found in front of the maintenance office last week.

The residents said that they had also filed a complaint to Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) in which they mentioned the issue of dumping of garbage/construction and demolition waste inside the society. They said that the complaint is unresolved to date. As per them, the life of 70 families is in danger.

Prateek Baijal, a resident of the society said, “This is not the first time. Last week, another snake was found. We have to live in this under-construction society. The life of 70 families is at risk. There is a major issue of the dumping of garbage/construction and demolition waste inside the society. Moreover, the society is under construction for the last 12 years.”

Another resident on the condition of anonymity said, “The women of the society were doing an arrangement of Navaratri in the society’s park. We did a complaint on the issue of dumping garbage and construction material inside the park. Children play in this park, now the parents are afraid. We have to live in this under-construction society. We also did a protest against the builder for basic amenities but no one has listened to us.”
