Greater Noida: The residents of Tower F2 in Panchsheel Greens Pinnacle, a residential highrise society in Greater Noida West continued their protest against pending registry of flats on Sunday. The stalemate does not seem to be coming to an end. All the residents, who have been living in the tower for about one and a half years are yet to get the registry done.
On Day 1 of the protest on Saturday, there was a lot of chaos. When the residents started shouting slogans, the builder sent his bouncers who reportedly manhandled with the protesters. The situation got tensed. The residents were aghast over their right to protest.
As per the residents, the situation has not suddenly deteriorated. They have been raising their issues for long. As per a resident, almost 90 emails have been sent to the builder so far but there has not been any concrete solution.
The residents were left with no option but to protest vigorously. They have been doing their best to reach to the builder for a solution. Few days back, as a mark of protest and to get the attention of builder, the residents had placed banners inside the society suggesting the new buyers to refrain from buying flats in the society. The builder got angry with this and removed the banners from there. Moreover, he had served legal notices to many of the residents.
The turn of events united the residents more as everyone was waiting for the registry of flat. Residents including women and senior citizens protested against the builder on Saturday. Police was also present on the spot on Day 1.
Continuing their protest on Day 2, the residents started their protest by shouting slogans and holding banners. All the protesters started shouting slogans in chorus.
So far, there has been no visit from anyone from the builder side. The residents are protesting under the sun.
A resident said that they have also been getting threatening calls from the builder's men. A resident, on the condition of anonymity, said, “We are being threatened when we ask for registry and other facilities. In this regard, a written complaint was given by me in Bisrakh police station. But the police has not taken any action on it.”
Another resident, on the condition of anonymity, said, "Look at the attitude of the builder, we are protesting under the sun and he is yet not visiting us. We are not going to budge in any kind of pressure. We want registry of our flats at the earliest. He will have to act."
