Greater Noida: The residents of AIG Park Avenue, a residential society in Greater Noida West, on Sunday engrossed themselves in a religious event 'Mata Ki Chowki'. It was organised by Park Avenue Cultural Committee (PACC) which has been organising cultural activities in society in the past as well.
The religious evening started at 5:30 pm and was filled with devotional songs and bhajans dedicated to the navdevis. All the residents of the society were immersed in the devotional spirit and mesmerising during the performances by the bhajan mandli.
Hundreds of devotees and kids of the society gathered in the park to enjoy the proceedings. All eyes were glued to the stage as they chanted 'Jai Mata Di'. 'Jai Mata Di' was the usual greeting for the evening as everyone greeted each other with the same.
Shiv Tandav and Radha Krishna jhanki were the main attractions that were admired by all the devotees. The event was concluded by a community feast 'Mata ka Bhandara' which was enjoyed by more than 1,400 people.
PACC senior members VK Sharma, KC Sharma, Rajendra Gill, and Arun Tiwari guided the youth of the group for the arrangements and management of the event.
A member of the group Gaurav Gupta said, “The motive of such cultural events by PACC is to bring all residents together which is the need of the hour as recent times has been tough for everyone. Also, it is important for a positive atmosphere and for the newer generations to know something out of textbooks.
Another member Mohit Gautam said, “PACC has been organising cultural as well as sports activities in society for a harmonious environment. Such events give great pleasure and we not only offer prayers but also preach to our young generation about the culture.”
