Panchsheel Hynish: Residents protest to raise maintenance issues

Greater Noida: Residents of Panchsheel Hynish, a highrise residential society in Sector 1, Greater Noida West, protested against the builder on Sunday. According to the residents, the garbage was not collected from flats since October 13.

Residents forced to take charge

The residents also raised that the lobbies and the reception of the towers are not clean. A large number of residents gathered in front of the sales office to protest.

GreNo West Welfare Foundation shared a tweet,

During the Navratri festival, all the residents were cleaning their areas. During the protest, residents started cleaning their floors and the children cleaned the park. In a conversation with CitySpidey, the residents shared that the cleanliness drive after the protest may set an example in front of authority and the builder.

Residents clean the society

Residents alleged that last year, the builder hiked the maintenance charges from Rs 1.96 per sqft to Rs 2.16 per sqft without consulting residents. Seepage from the pillars is a daily activity. Plaster fallings in the flats and the reception is the major security issue in the society. Residents shared that buttons of the lift are not in good condition, due to which residents are facing difficulties.

Vijay Rastogi, a resident of the society, said, “The builder has charged maintenance charges for two years in advance and is not giving basic amenities. There is no one to hear residents. We all are facing difficulties in getting the basic amenities. We also went to the authority but no one has listened to us. There is also a security threat in society. During Navaratri, residents are facing difficulties and started cleaning their surroundings.”

Another resident, Vinod Negi shared, “We are paying high maintenance charges but we don't get effective services. There are a lot of security issues in societies. Fire safety equipment is not in good condition to use. The condition of the basement is becoming pathetic with each passing day.”

CitySpidey also tried to talk to the builder but there was no response from his side. We will update the story after getting the response.
