New Delhi: As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, at all the polling booths of the Assembly where you cast your vote, the photo voter list will be displayed on four days from 10 am to 4 pm. You can check whether your name is there on the list or not.

You can apply for making corrections and also apply for a new Voter ID card.

Dates:

07-11-2021 (Sunday), 14-11-2021 (Sunday), 21-11-21 (Sunday) and 28-11-2021 (Sunday).

You can fill the form for correction. In addition to this, you can fill a new form for a new voter card.

Take these documents with you to get a new voter card:

- Two colour passport size photos.
- Photocopy of ration card
- Photocopy of Aadhaar card.
- Photocopy of birth certificate (Must be 18 years old)
- Photocopy of voter card of any one member of the household.
- Fellows send this information to all numbers and groups. BLOs will sit at the polling booth.

Be sure to check your name in the voter list, do not believe that if you voted in the last election, then your name will be on the list, it is not like that, now that the new list has come, the names of many people will be or will be not there. If your name is not on the voter list, the applicant must visit the nearest state election office and request Form 6.

Fill ‘Form 6’ with necessary details and provide all supporting documents such as identity proof, address proof etc. The applicant may submit the completed form to the respective election office.

On verification of the form, a Voter ID will be issued.

Voter ID, also known as Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) is a photo identity card issued by the Election Commission of India to all Indian citizens eligible to vote. The purpose of voter ID is to serve as identity proof for voters, increase efficiency and prevent impersonation and fraud during free and fair democratic elections. This card is also commonly known as an election card, voter’s card, or Voter ID card.

Exercising one's franchise is every Indian citizen's right as per the Indian Constitution and to do this, one requires a Voter ID card. Every Indian citizen above the age of 18 years is permitted to apply for a Voter ID/election card.

Note: For any other problem related to Voter ID cards, BLOs can be contacted at their booths on the same day.
