Mayfair Residency: Waterlogging causes chaos in parking area

Noida: After heavy rain, the rainwater logged in the parking area of Mayfair Residency, a highrise society in Techzone 4, Greater Noida West. According to the residents, they are facing difficulties in parking their vehicles.

Residents shared that they have only open parking spaces in the entire society. The society has 12 towers, out of which, eight are under construction. About 70 families live in the four towers of society. According to the residents, the condition of the basement is pathetic. All the construction waste is dumped in the basement and the rainwater was also logged during heavy rain.

The residents said that they had also filed a complaint to Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) in which they mentioned the issue of dumping of garbage/construction and demolition waste inside the society. On Sunday, October 17, residents also protested against the builder for basic amenities in the societies.

Prateek Baijal, a resident of the society said, “We are protesting against the builder. Society has inadequate infrastructure. The rainwater logged in the entire society. Society has a bad internal road. We all are facing difficulties in parking our vehicles. There is only open parking in the entire society.”

Another resident, Ravi Chaudhry said, “Residents are facing difficulties in parking their vehicles. We all are afraid because snakes were also spotted earlier. Maybe they will come to the ground surface. The basement is full of construction waste and due to waterlogging, the structure of the buildings will get affected.”
