Neha Priya (Secretary, SW-DLSA), said, “Legal awareness is the first step towards legal empowerment. South West DLSA is striving to make each individual in the district aware of his/ her legal rights. This will help them recognise when their rights are being violated and also make them aware that there is a parent body in the form of DLSA/ DSLSA that will help them seek redressal for any such violation. Thus, the aim of this mass legal awareness campaign is to take justice to the doorstep of the poor and the needy, and make justice accessible to them in the truest sense.”

In the next phase, SW-DLSA will be conducting bike rallies and ‘legal aid on wheels’ campaign to reach each and every person in the 50 remote villages identified in the South-West district.
