Dabri village, not far from Dwarka, now has a new police station at Bindapur, which was inaugurated by Delhi police commissioner Alok Kumar Verma.

Dabri in the south-west district got a new building for its police station at Bindapur. It was inaugurated by Commissioner of Delhi Police, Alok Kumar Verma, today.

Special CP administration, Amulya Patnaik; special CP, law and order, P Kamal Raj; joint CP, planning and implementation, Ashok Kumar Singh; joint CP, south-west range, Dependra Pathak; DCP, south-west, Surender Kumar; and additional DCP, south-west, Rajesh Dev were present on the occasion.

From now on, the Bindapur police station will operate from this new three-storey building. Addressing the gathering, Verma said the building had many new facilities. He added that police-public relation is an important aspect of their work, and therefore, utmost care must be taken to maintain this.

Of the total 16,000 sq m land used, 6,500 sq m has been developed for the building. A basement and 48 quarters for police personnel are on the anvil. The project is being developed by RITES, an engineering consultancy company, at an estimated Rs 31 crore. It is expected to be completed by the end of this financial year.
