Goonj, a Delhi based NGO is organising a collection drive of basic requirements in Ghaziabad district on October 30. In this drive, they will collect the underutilized materials from common people and provide them to the underprivileged. The location would be Gate number 3, Aditya Mega City, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.

Anannya Banerjee, one of the Volunteers of Goonj working in collection drive, while speaking to CitySpidey's correspondent, said "We are volunteering for Goonj, an NGO aiming to build an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance and dignity between the cities and villages using the under-utilized urban material as a tool to trigger development with dignity, across the country. We, as volunteers, organise collection camps for collecting materials for any disaster relief or as development tool in rural areas."

On being asked about how they work, she said, "We use social media, especially WhatsApp from our side to promote the campaign. Goonj also displays the information on its website about the upcoming collection camp."

She further added, "As in the past our camps had got overwhelming support from the people, this time too we are looking forward for the support of the people and making the collection camp a successful event."
