Gurugram- Broken road becomes hassle for residents

Gurugram: The 24-meter sectoral road that connects sector 70A in Gurugram is damaged for almost 5-6 months. There are around four societies in that area- BPTP Astaire Gardens (100 families), M3M Scala (300 families), The Peaceful Homes AIPL (600 Families), Pyramid (600 families), including two schools- St. Angel's and Jocund Hearts School.

Rajat Srivastava, a complainant and a resident of Sector 70A, said, “There is a 24-meter road in New Gurugram which connects three societies- BPTP Astaire Gardens society, Pyramid Fusion Affordable housing society and AIPL society. For this 24 meters road, I have filed many complaints from MCM to GMDA but everyone said that it isn't  their department. Three days ago, I filed an RTI in the Municipal Corporation Gurugram to find out who takes care of this sectoral road. The potholes are so big that accident cases are rising. I have been raising this issue for a quite long time now to all the departments but I am not getting any response.”

Neehar Ranjan, Ex-President (RWA), BPTP Astaire Gardens, said, “A lot of times, cyclists have got injured as the bigger vehicles maneuver very dangerously to avoid potholes. The road's been damaged for quite some time now, at least 5-6 months. Earlier, there were not so many potholes on the road but the rains and water logging has made the situation worse. Around 2-3 big accidents have happened just in front of our block gate and there are chances that more such accidents can happen.”
