Mayfair Residency: Residents continue to protest for the nineteenth week

Residents of Mayfair Residency, a highrise society in Techzone 4, Greater Noida West, on Sunday continued the protest for the nineteenth consecutive week against the builder for the prevalent issues in the society. They demanded a proper road, a permanent electricity connection, and a clean basement of the society.

Residents shared that the condition of the basement is getting worse. In the lift’s shaft, the water is logged upto 5 feet. The water supply in society is unhealthy. According to the residents, they are getting sick by drinking dirty water. Residents say that the water smells bad and even the water purifier is not able to filter it. Also, there is no Sewage Treatment Plant in society as per residents.

The residents shared that around 70 families are presently living in towers A, B, C and D of the society. The other eight towers are under construction. Society doesn’t have internal roads and there is no electricity grid. The residents say that they had also filed a complaint in Bisrakh police station.

Earlier, the residents said that they had also filed a complaint to Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) in which they mentioned the issue of dumping of garbage/construction and demolition waste inside the society.

Prateet Baijal, a resident of the society said, “Unhealthy water supplied in the society. The condition of the basement is becoming bad every passing day. The society also has bad internal road and waterlogging can affect the foundation of society. ”

Another resident, Ravi Chaudhry said, “The society doesn’t have internal roads and there is no permanent electricity connection. There is no Sewage Treatment Plant in society.”
