This year the markets are expected to do better than last year. After 2 years people have come out of their homes to shop for Diwali. The markets and malls of Noida and Greater Noida are back again with a lot of crowds.

The preparations for celebrating Diwali have started in full swing in Noida. There is a lot of excitement in the markets of the city.  A large number of people were seen shopping for Ganesh-Lakshmi idols,  clothes, worship materials, diyas, decorative items, lights, toys in the market. The added crowd also caused traffic congestion in many markets.

Section 144 has been implemented in Gautam Budh Nagar district till November 30 because of the Covid-19 and upcoming festivals. Amidst Diwali and Chhath Puja, prevention becomes very important. Given this, Section 144 has been imposed in the district.
