Dwarka: On October 9, South West District Legal Services  Authority(SW-DLSA) organized the 'Inter-College Moot Court Competition, Dwarka' in collaboration with the Trinity Institute of  Professional Studies, Dwarka. As part of the celebration of the Legal  services week from 8th -14th November 2021 and as part of the Pan India outreach and awareness campaign of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA)

South West DLSA  successfully organized the competition under the able guidance of Neha Priya, Ld. Secretary, South West DLSA. The Chief Guest for the competition was Kanwaljeet Arora,  Ld. Member Secretary,  DSLSA and Namrata Agarwal, Ld. Additional Secretary, DSLSA was the  guest of Honour.

Neha Priya, Ld. Secretary, said, “Moot court competitions are an indispensable part of legal education and give students an opportunity  to sharpen research and advocacy skills in a simulated environment of a courtroom. The objective of the 'Inter-College Moot Court Competition' was to involve law students and  budding lawyers in DSLSA’S mission of 'Access to Justice for All'."

The competition consisted of three preliminary rounds, in which each team gave stiff competition to the other two teams. The team from the Trinity Institute of Professional Studies and University school of law and legal studies, IP university made it to the Final Rounds. In the final rounds, the team from TIPS, Dwarka emerged as the winner of the competition, and a team from USLLS, IP University emerged as the Runner  Up. The team from the Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology was also awarded participation certificates.

The Best Speaker position was bagged by Yashdeep Lakra from USLLS,  IP university and the best Memorial award went to the team from Trinity Institute of Professional Studies.

Yashvardhan, Advocate with robust experience and Anuj  Bhandari, Advocate on record and partner in Pricus Legal judged the preliminary Round of the competition. The final round of the  competition was judged by Gautam Manan, Special Secretary, DSLSA,  Vaibhav Kakkar, Partner in the leading law firm, Saraf and  Partners and Neha Priya, Ld.
