GreNo: 27 years old Arun Sajwan, a differently-abled resident of Shri Radha Sky Garden, is unable to move around the society as both the lifts have stopped working. Sajwan lives on the 11th floor of tower 9. From the evening of 16th November around 4, the lifts have stopped working.
As gathered by residents, the issue of defunct lifts is perennial in society.
“It’s not only my problem but my mother also can’t move much without the lifts as she is aged. My father is presently not with us. I have just moved to this society one month back. But what I have understood through our society groups, is that lift issues are perennial here. There are two lifts in our tower. One is not functional for a long time and the second one has also stopped working. "My mother is claustrophobic, imagine what would have happened if she had taken that lift”, said Arun.
As gathered by residents, a child was reported to get stuck in the lift for 20 minutes as there was no information. Post this incident, it was found that the lift is not operational.

Uttam Singh, a resident of the society, said, “Both lifts are not working since yesterday evening. One lift of almost every tower of Sky Garden is not working. Residents are forced to live with only one operational lift in every tower. This is the condition of a newly built high rise society”.
