GreNo West: Residents discussed their issues in a meeting with NEFOMA

The residents of Greater Noida West have been struggling with issues such as dark patches, lack of street lights, uncontrolled vehicular traffic among others for quite some time now. The residents brought out all these problems in a meeting held with NEFOMA (Noida Estate Flat Owners Main Association) on November 21, 2021. The representative from the societies of Greater Noida West discussed the issues of their respective areas.

Anoop Kumar, a resident of Amaatra Homes, Sector 10 says, “Our apartments are ignored by the authority. Neither there is a proper cemented road nor street lights are working. The dark lane in front of the housing society makes the residents afraid to go out.”

Avinash Singh, a resident of Gulshan Belina, Sector 16 says, “There is a dark spot at the rear of our society which makes it difficult to commute at night. There should be a better police presence in the area. We have also raised the issue of the pending registry of our society. For the last one year, the builder has been showering us with promises with no implementation.”

Devendra Chaudhary, a resident from Himalaya Pride Society, Ek Murti Chowk, says, “There is a lot of fear of street dogs and cows located near our society. Cows suddenly come on the road in the form of herds, due to which there is always a risk of an accident.”

Amit Jha, a resident of Rakhs Adella, Gaur city 2 says, “In Gaur City 2, the condition of the roads is not good. After several follow-ups, the roads are still broken. Due to the lack of streetlights, there are dark patches which create difficulties for the residents.”

Annu Khan, NEFOMA president discussed the problems of these areas and assured the residents that NEFOMA will talk to the official of Greater Noida Authority and try to get the solution to the problems. He says, "Residents are facing problems due to traffic, unauthorised shops at intersections. However, the police have ignored these issues.”
