Spring Meadows: Residents raise the issue of ill maintained park

The Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) and the residents of the Spring Meadows, Techzone 4, Greater Noida West have raised the issue of the poor state of maintenance in the park opposite Ryan International School.

They shared a tweet, “@OfficialGNIDA से ग्रेनोवेस्ट टेक ज़ोन -4 के  इकलौते पार्क जो कि रयान इंटरनेशनल के सामने है उसके जीर्णोद्धार की अपील  की जा रही उसके बावजूद आज भी यह पार्क अपनी मूलभूत सुविधाओं से वंचित है,  लाइट की उचित व्यवस्था, डस्टबिन, शौचालय, खुले हुए मेन हाल, खुले हुए  नाले, बिल्डर का मलबा आदि.”

As per the residents, this is the only park for the residents of Techzone 4 and they have been appealing for the proper upkeep of the park. Despite that, even today, this park is deprived of lighting, dustbin, toilet and has open drains, builder's construction waste among others. According to the residents, the open gym in the park doesn’t have proper flooring and there are no swings for children.

Vikas Katiyar (34), vice president NEFOWA and a resident of the society says, “We want the authorities to address this very important issue that we are facing. Due to lack of proper lighting in the park, strangers or anti-social elements consume alcohol, due to which the safety of women and children living in the surrounding society is compromised. We want the local police station to post a beat constable here so that there is better policing in the park.”
Sagar Gupta (34), a resident of Spring Meadows says, “This is the only park for the residents of Techzone 4. There is no proper sanitation here and during the night you can see people consuming alcohol there. There is an open drain outside the park which is not safe. The drain should be covered for the safety of kids.”
