Poonam Tyagi, a social activist

Poonam Tyagi, a social activist says, “The event ‘Power of community’ made me aware about the unsung heroes of the community in Dwarka. It was a very rich experience. I appeal to people to come forward, join hands and be a changemaker. I appeal to anyone who is visually challenged and wants help with academics and digital literacy to let me know. I will try my best to provide them with what they need in education.”

Riya Vashist, a makeup artist

Riya Vashist, a makeup artist says, “My life is full of struggle and I have learned a lot from that. What I would like to say is that never lose heart and hope and keep making efforts. Success comes to those who work hard and honestly.”

Namitha Chowdhary, Founder Chhoti Si Khushi NGO

Namitha Chowdhary, Founder Chhoti Si Khushi NGO says, “While working with kids and women from JJ clusters, I realised that it was the power of community which helped and boosted me to go ahead. It was the community that supported me to take challenges and become victorious. So, I would say that a collective effort can make society better. Let's join hands and take a step towards shaping the future of the Nation.

ACP (rtd) Rajender Singh

ACP (rtd) Rajender Singh says, “Dwarka community is powerful and has brought a change in Dwarka. I personally have experienced this through community policing in the area during my time in office. Many cases were worked out with the help of the community. In a city like Dwarka, people can do great things for the development of the area. So, such an initiative like ‘Power of Community' would go a long way in bringing a positive change in the society.”

Seema Sharma Dora, a Superbike rider

Seema Sharma Dora, a Superbike rider, “ Women are more powerful than men. I personally have realised that because what I have done in biking or in driving heavy vehicles on the toughest roads is something men seldom dare to do. I do all those things which men can do and which they haven't done yet. I believe a woman has a more daring attitude than a man. I would say that those who are in middle age should work to fulfil their potential and start their journey to success.”
