The residents of Supertech Ecovillage 1, 2 and 3 are stuck in a tussle between the Greater Noida Authority and the builder. Many residents are yet to get the registry done of their flats. The residents are now depending on an expected November 26, 2021, verdict on an ongoing case between the builder and the Authority in the Supreme Court of India.
Residents of Supertech Ecovillage 1, 2 and 3 raised the issue of the pending registry of their flats, inadequate electricity, and poor maintenance services by the builder in a meeting with the Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) of Greater Noida Authority, on Wednesday, November 24.
This project started in 2010-11. As of now, approximately 15,000 buyers have not received the registry of their residential flats. Several residents did not even get the requisite Occupancy Certificate and Completion Certificate (OC/CC) before they moved into their residential flats.
Mihir Gautam (40), a resident of Ecovillage 2 says, "We met with ACEO of Greater Noida Authority and according to him, they will find a way to resolve the issue after the verdict of Supreme Court on November 26. We have to pay extra interest to the bank due to pending registry. It is not our fault that the builder has pending dues, we paid the full amount of our flat. Authority should have to find a way as soon as possible to start the work of pending registry.
Mrityunjay Jha (42), a resident of Ecovillage 3 says, "Residents of Ecovillage 1, 2 and 3 have been facing the issue of the pending registry for a long time now. The builder has pending dues in the authority due to which we don't own our own house. In between the builder and the authority, residents are the ones suffering."
Anupam Mishra (36), a resident of Ecovillage 2 says, "As always, there is no way to start the pending registry. Approximately 5,000 residents are facing the issue of pending registry in Ecovillage 2. Despite the assurance, authority is not ready to start working on the issues."
