There is great news for all shopaholics. With the arrival of winters and chilly nights, it's the time for Black Friday sales in India and other parts of the world.

Every year, Black Friday falls on the Friday post-Thanksgiving in the US. Traditionally, it marks the start of the Christmas holiday shopping season. This year it falls on November 26.

With global outlets readily available in India, the craze for Black Friday is at its peak. With special discounts on online and offline platforms, the malls are going to see long queues.

Thanksgiving has been celebrated in the United States since President George Washington proclaimed on October 3, 1789, designating Thursday, November 26, 1789, as an official holiday of "sincere and humble thankfulness." In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln declared the traditional Thanksgiving observance a national holiday, and it has been observed annually on the fourth Thursday of November ever since.

Philadelphia traffic cops coined the term "Black Friday" to characterise the day after Thanksgiving because they had to work 12-hour shifts in horrendous traffic. Visitors went to the city to begin their holiday shopping, and the annual Army-Navy football game sometimes coincided with this popular shopping day. The name became popular among Philadelphia consumers and merchants, and it quickly spread across the country.

The mystique of Black Friday as we know it today began in the 1980s. This explanation for one of the busiest shopping days of the year didn't emerge until the 1980s, roughly 20 years after the term "Black Friday" became commonplace.

Black Friday sales provide buyers with some of the finest deals of the year across various areas. In India, some websites and retail businesses have begun to host Black Friday specials. Moreover, if you enjoy shopping on overseas websites, several websites will allow you to shop from the United States while sitting in India and delivering things to your home.

Although Thanksgiving is not observed in India, numerous businesses have begun advertising Black Friday bargains. Nykaa, Amazon and sites like Flipkart have an enormous amount of discounts and deals. From November 24 to 29, the Croma Black Friday Sale will bring you the most exciting deals of the season on their website and at their stores throughout the city.

Even Amazon Fashion has a Black Friday Fest with discounts of up to 50% off on brands like Fossil, Daniel Wellington, and others. Flipkart, too, has a 'Boss of All Sales' promotion with discounts ranging from 50 to 80%. Myntra has a Black Friday sale from November 26 to 30, with discounts up to 80% off, while Central is having a Black Friday Special sale with discounts of up to 50% off.

If you are searching for some athleisure wear or sneakers, Puma India offers a 25% discount on all of its items from November 26 to November 29. The same is true for Adidas, Reebok and Nike, which offers nearly 60% off select items on their website!

Nykaa, on the other hand, has added a twist to its sale with the announcement of a Pink Friday Sale. The sale runs from November 24 to November 28 and offers up to 50% off a wide range of products.

From the last few years, Black Friday sales have influenced the Indian market a lot. Shopping Malls like the Pacific, Promenade and Ambience also participate in Black Friday sales, and amazingly they are open till midnight on such days. This season, many more brands, such as H&M, Shopper's Stop, and Lifestyle, are providing excellent deals, so keep an eye out!.

So, if you're a fashion enthusiast or gadget lover, Black Friday has a lot to offer.
