Residents shared that for more than one month now, the water is logged in the basement and in the lift shaft of tower C.  Residents have also filed a complaint in the Greater Noida police station. According to the residents, the builder is aware of the condition.

The society has 12 towers, out of which, eight are under construction. About 70 families live in the four towers of society. All that the builder has done is to cover the area with some tin sheets. The residential apartments are under construction for the last 11 years. All the construction waste is being dumped in the basement. Earlier, in October 2021, residents had also filed a complaint to Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) in which they mentioned the issue of dumping of garbage/construction and demolition waste inside the society.

Ravi Chaudhry(35), a resident of the society says, “We have been complaining about this issue for the last one month. Due to waterlogging in the basement, we fear that the pillars would have gone weak. The life of the residents is at risk. We have been complaining about this issue in Greater Noida Authority regularly.”

Another resident, on the condition of anonymity from tower B1, says, “We wrote a letter to the disaster management. Every weekend we are protesting to raise our issue but no one has heard us. Who will be responsible if anything happens in society? The stability of the whole building is at risk.”
From the office of the builder, Maya says, “All the issues will be resolved soon. We are working on the issue of waterlogging in the basement. If the residents have so many issues, why are they living in the society?”
